Fabled by Marie Claire Review
You all know I love everything beauty and I am sure if you are reading this blog, you probably love beauty too!! I am forever checking out new places to shop both online and in-store especially unique concepts that bring something new to the table. I think I may have heard about the Fabled by Marie Claire from a friend who knows a lot about the beauty world. I didn't quite understand the concept and I thought it will just be another regular beauty store. I was very wrong and I am so glad I was because it is not just another beauty store. It's actually a unique concept store and I am totally loving the array of brands that you can get in store and online.
I was very kindly invited to the Fabled Christmas Event which was hosted by Marie Claire (the magazine. Marie Claire own Fabled if you are wondering and the event was held in their flagship store on Tottenham Court Road near Oxford Circus. I believe tickets were sold to attend the event (£10) which gives you a 20% off all brands they stock (even Chanel, say what?!!), an amazing goody bag wirth £50, mini facials and luxury makeovers. Of course, they were also nibbles and drinks so you can imagine that the event was a full one and I believe all the tickets were sold out. Some of the brands were also offering Gifts with Purchases which was absolutely incredible. All the sales associates were so helpful and I didn't feel rushed at all as I made my way through each section of the store. I thought I will share some photos from the event and also talk about the store. I was kindly provided a voucher to purchase some products and I will review these products separately because I absolutely love what I chose.
Brief Overview of Fabled by Marie Claire
Fabled by Marie Claire is a concept beauty store which stocks the most amazing array of beauty finds ranging from high end (YSL, Chanel, NARS, Lancome, etc) to some drugstore brands (Bourjois, L'Oreal Paris, etc) and even niche brands (The Balm, Living Proof, OUAI, etc). You can tell a lot of research went into the creation of this store and I was well and truly impressed with everything in there. There is something for everyone and every budget although there is a high chance you may not stick to your budget. I love that there is a physical store that I can pop into to get my beauty fix and I also have the option of ordering from the comfort of my house. I do have to mention that not all the brands stocked online are stocked in store and that's understandable so it is worth contacting their customer service to find out. You can check out all the brands they stock here.
Inside the store which is situated in Tottenham Court road, there are four main sections (I think). The first is the Color Studio (ground floor) where you get everything makeup from all the brands you can imagine- Chanel, Bobbi Brown, NARS, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Benefit, Urban Decay, Clinique, Delilah, Lipstick Queen, etc. There is another section which has various body care products and gift sets including Molton Brown, etc.
There was a Perfume/Fragrance Emporium which was just stunning. I would not even know where to start because there was so much to choose from and I absolutely loved the aesthetics there. They had various perfume brands in there including Armani, Chloe, Lancome, Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab, etc. I loved the gift sets in there and if you are still stuck on Christmas gifts for loved ones, I'd recommend popping into the store or checking out their extensive online range.
I popped upstairs to the Skin Bar which had all the amazing skincare brands I already love. I actually liked the fact that there are different sections for different categories. I found some of my favourite brands such as Lancome, Estee Lauder, Oskia, Murad, Clinique, Elemis, Origins, etc. Seriously, it's like a skincare haven. There is also a Hair Care section where I found Aveda Bumble and Bumble, Living Proof, Percy and Reed, Sachajuan (my absolute fav) and some other brands.
At the corner upstairs, there's a Men's section which I love because it just makes Fabled a one-stop shop for everything you need. You can treat that special man in your life and yourself too!! The snazzy thing about the Fabled store is that they have a digital interactive interface in various sections of the store filled with amazing recommendations and tips to improve your shopping experience. I didn't try them out on the night of the event because it was quite a busy one. However, I saw a lot of people loved using them and they looked really pleased.
Ordering and Delivery
I am always weary of ordering online for delivery in my house because I am usually at work whenever the postman comes by. Even when I choose specific days for delivery, I usually can't choose narrow delivery time slots. Thankfully, that's not the case with Fabled as they have made their delivery process unique and this makes them stand out from other beauty stores. One of the best things about ordering online with Fabled (apart from the wide range of products you can get on there) is their delivery process. There are quite a few delivery options which you can check out here. The first is the nominated one-hour delivery slot which costs £3.90 and I honestly don't mind paying that. Fabled have teamed up with Ocado which means you can get both your food shop and your beauty fix in one delivery. However, if you have already made an Ocado order, it will be delivered free alongside your order. Very impressive!!!
The second option is the next-day delivery which also offers a one hour slot delivery time and you have to order before 3pm. It is free if you spend £15 but £3.90 if you spend less but I promise there is no way you'd be spending only £15 in Fabled. If you are able to, I am insanely jealous of your self-control when it comes to beauty. Fabled delivery slots are between 8am and 8pm from Monday to Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sundays. Their customer service number is open from 5.30 am to midnight everyday and I think that's really commendable. I am so happy they stock some of my favourite brands both online and in-store and they include Sachajuan, OUAI, ILIA, Lancome, Fake Bake, etc.
How to get Fabled Discount Codes
Fabled is offering a 15% discount code for first time buyers across all brands so if you are looking to treat yourself or a loved one this is the perfect time. I believe the discount code can only be used online but I will find out if it can be used in-store and update this post. All you have to do is visit the Fabled website or sign up to their newsletter and your unique discount code will be delivered to your inbox. If you sign up, you also get access to any other discount codes, offers (Boxing Day Sales will be epic) and future events so it is worth checking out.
What did I get?
I had a little list of three products I really wanted to get with my voucher and the 20% discount on the night of the event. The top of my list was the hyped up Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel which was sold out. The lovely skincare specialist gave me loads of samples of the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel to carry me over until I placed my order which I thought was very sweet and kind of her.
I told you everyone went absolutely crazy that evening and many products flew off the shelf. I still have my eyes on it for next time. I got two other products I had been dying to get my hands on- The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair* and the Lancome Cushion Foundation*.
I cannot wait to share my thoughts on these products in separate reviews. I was also gifted a beautiful goody bag filled with beauty products including a deluxe sample of the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray, full size of the best selling NARS Orgasm Blush (say what??!!) and of course, a copy of Marie Claire magazine. Murad also kindly gifted me a goody bag that contained deluxe samples of some of their best selling skincare products!!
Overall Thoughts
I had an amazing night just discovering the Fabled Store and I cannot wait to go back and explore some more. I have to warn you that it is a very tempting store and you are bound to leave with a leaner wallet/bank balance. I can see it becoming one of my favourite stores and I love the location as it is easy to find. Massive thanks to Fabled and their PR for inviting me and gifting me these gorgeous goodies!! Have you heard about Fabled by Marie Claire?
* Gifted PR Samples, read my full disclaimer here.
I made a purchase with them when they opened their online store as I could use 15% discount on brands other sellers exclude from their offers like NARS or Chanel and I really liked that I could choose time slot when they deliver the order to me just like when I shop groceries online.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear and I also love that they do the 15% discount across all brands which is pretty rare!! I can't wait to keep shopping there for more goodies. Thanks for stopping by...xx
