Fake Bake Beauty at Home Event with eSalon #beautyathome
I have been really enjoying attending beauty events this month and they definitely add some colour to my week. I was lucky to be invited to the Fake Bake Beauty at Home Event with eSalon which was held last week. The venue was the beautiful Soho Hotel in Central London and the event itself was held in the Soho Suite. Now, the Soho Suite is so stylish and I can totally see why it was chosen as it really matched the theme of the event. I can totally live in this suite because it has the best backdrop for blog photos and YouTube videos. A girl can only dream, can't she?
Do you know the best part of this suite? The bathroom!! Oh my goodness!! It was so Pinteresty and you can imagine that everyone went a little nuts once they got inside. It had marble walls all around and it was really spacious. It seemed as large as a bedroom and of course, it had loads of products from Fake Bake Beauty and eSalon. Everyone was snapping away in this bathroom because it was really a wonderful sight to behold. The pictures do it no justice whatsoever, I can assure you
We were warmly welcomed with Prosecco and other drinks and we had a chance to wander around before the presentation from the two brands. I was really surprised to find that Fake Bake had a beauty range and they look absolutely amazing. I thought they were only into Fake Tan which I never use because I have dark skin and don't need to. I also met with some other lovely bloggers and beauty enthusiasts and we all had a little chat and took some photos of the products. Soon, it was time for the presentation by both brands and everyone took their seats.
The first speaker was a representative from eSalon- a lovely brand that develops bespoke and custom salon hair colour to the door steps of clients. The brand was founded in 2010 by e-commerce entrepreneur Francisco Gimenez and the brand has experienced phenomenal growth since its creation. eSalon has also sold nearly one million hair colour applications and is now expanding into the UK market. The brand has also won many awards including Best Home Colour in Allure's Best of Beauty Awards 2014. How does it work you ask? eSalon creates custom hair colour chosen by the client and developed by the brand. In order to achieve this, each client has to complete a personalised questionnaire which covers a lot of questions around skin colour, hair colour, eye colour, natural hair colour, last time hair was dyed, etc.
Armed with this information, each bottle of eSalon pigment is individually blended for clients based on their profile to create the most flattering shade. The best part is the eSalon's colour crew of experts analyse each client's personal profile before the custom hair colour is created. You also have the choice of speaking with the hair colourists if you have any concerns at any point which I think is so useful especially if you are trying this for the first time. Once all has been agreed, your custom kit will be sent over to you with your name on the kit & bottles and I think that adds such a personal touch to it. We were all given a chance to order one kit to try and of course, I could not resist. I have not dyed my air in more than 15 years so I think it's time to do so (or maybe I would dye my extensions instead, who knows?!). I also had a little session with the brand representative to get more details about the product seeing that my hair is natural and has not seen any chemicals for a long time. I was concerned about hair damage but she reassured me and I will post a full review when I receive my kit. It's already on its way and I can't wait to try it out on my little afro. I also really like the packaging of the eSalon products as they have such fun colours and will definitely stand out from my other hair products in my bathroom. If you are interested in trying the eSalon custom hair colouring kit, find out more here. There is also a subscription kit service available where you select the frequency you wish to receive a new box for touch ups. I think that's really amazing!! They also stock other hair products aimed at maintaining your hair after it has been coloured. You can find out more about them here
The second speaker was Craig-Alexander Wilson from Fake Bake Beauty who is also the Head of Strategic Development. He gave us a good overview of the Fake Bake brand and Fake Bake Beauty. As I mentioned earlier, I was really surprised to see that Fake Bake actually had a beauty range which I was rather impressed with. The product line up is really incredible and there is everything from skincare to makeup. The range is split into three sub-ranges: Dolce Dreams (Bath and Body), Skin D-Luxe (Luxury Skincare) and Scream & Pout (Makeup). The packaging of all the products look so beautiful and sturdy. The Skin D-Luxe range has black and white packaging which makes it so classy. The Scream & Pout range have various colours while the Dolce Dreams range has the prettiest pink themed packaging.
They also recently launched their Fake Bake Beauty at Home which provides people an opportunity to become their own beauty entrepreneurs. People can now become Fake Bake Beauty at Home consultants and benefit from flexible working hours, earn excellent commissions and meet new people while providing an amazing service to them. I actually never heard of this before but I can imagine it being ideal for anyone looking to make some extra money and be your own boss. There is a registration fee of £99 which also includes a generous starter kit, personalised marketing tools, free public liability insurance, free consultant web shop (so your clients can purchase products from your shop), monthly promotional campaigns, excellent host incentives, Fake Bake Beauty Training Academies and of course, the support of an established and world renowned brand. I love any initiative that empowers people to become entrepreneurs and this programme has been so successful that they are looking to expand. If you are interested in registering, you can check them out here for more information. You don't have to be an expert or have any formal training as anyone who loves beauty or has an interest will be more than suitable. They also have a full range of their products online to shop if you are interested.
Once the presentations were over, we had a chance to speak to these lovely representatives and ask any burning questions we had. There were also skincare, makeup and hair makeover stations where everyone had a chance to try their hands on some of the products. I was really impressed with these two brands and I can't wait to to try all the lovely products we were sent home with. There were also some amazing nibbles which I did not have a chance to photograph because they were so delicious. We had macaroons, little fish and chips in cones (so delicious) and various canapés. I really had such a lovely time even though I had to leave early because I had an early meeting at work the next day.
I was also sent away with a super generous goody bag (two actually) which contained products from the two brands. I received the eSalon Big Love Volumising Shampoo*, Big Softie Volumising Conditioner* and Bright Side Colour Illuminating Shine Spray*. I also ordered the custom hair colour kit which was custom created based on my profile. It's on its way so I would add a photo when it arrives.
In the Fake Bake Beauty Bag, I received many lovely products including the Fake Bake Skin D-Luxe Skincare range (Age Defying Moisturiser* and Dream Skin Cleansing Melting Cleanser*), Fake Bake Scream & Pout Makeup (Fake Me Up Marvel Lash Mascara*, Shine On Glo Gloss* and Shine On Sunsentials Colour Kit*) and the Dolce Dreams Lemon Meringue Body Whip* (smells insanely delicious).
I feel super lucky to attend these lovely events and be gifted with such generous goody bags. Thanks to lovely people at Dowal Walker PR Agency for putting together this event and inviting me. I hope you enjoyed this post and pictures and let me know if you like event posts like this. I hope you are all having an amazing weekend so far. I am on my way to Scotland on the train with erratic service hence the late upload but I am sure you all don't mind. Have you tried Fake Bake Beauty and eSalon Custom Hair Colour?
