Body Shop Virgin Mojito Event

I was lucky to be invited to the Body Shop Virgin Mojito event last week Thursday in the beautiful Westbury Hotel here in London. It was smack in the middle of Central London;  very close to Oxford Circus. I love going into Central London because it means I get a chance to do a quick window shop before I leave for home. I didn't do much this time around because the weather was such a mess. Anyway, I have never actually been to Westbury Hotel before and it was such a beautiful hotel. I would definitely be back maybe for lunch or drinks. I got there a little late but it was not too bad. I met some lovely bloggers and the lovely ladies form Rakuten who are always friendly and nice. We all had some chitchat before we went to grab some drinks. 

The drinks for night was Mojito which was seriously tasty although I can only have one glass (don't ask; long story). There were also loads of canapés which were very tasty and filling. Many were actually healthy versions of canapés as I had some toasted broccoli and courgettes. The thing with canapes is that it is tempting to eat a lot because they look small but they are surprisingly filling. There were also Mojito Ice creams (I know!!) and it was deliciously different.







Soon, it was time for the presentation from the Body Shop experts. The first presentation, delivered by Dr Terry (Body Shop's Global Skincare Expert), was around the recently launched Vitamin C range which includes the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser* and the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer*. The vitamin C used in this range is responsibly sourced from the Amazonian Forest Camu Camu Berries  which has 60 times more Vitamin C than an orange (who knew?!!). I would be reviewing these products once I have tested them out for some time.








The second presentation was around the new (soon to be launched) Virgin Mojito range which was also the theme for the event. It's the perfect Summer edition to add your body care and it really reminds me of holidays. There are five products in the range including a Body Scrub, Shower Gel, Sorbet, Body Butter and the unique Body Splash. It is set to hit the stores on the 2nd June 2015 so keep your eyes peeled and also expect a review before then. There were also new additions to the Honey Bronze range which are designed to make you look summer kissed and bronzed. The new additions include the Honey Bronze Face Gel*, Honey Bronze Tinted Leg Mist* and the Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome*. I was really pleased to get these products to test out because I was curious to see if they would work on my complexion (you have to wait for the review to find out). I really enjoyed all the presentations and it was such a relaxed atmosphere.







Then, it was time to pop into the Body Shop Skincare and Makeup makeover stations for consultations and a quick makeover. I had a skincare consultation which was really insightful. I popped over to the Video Booth and made a little video which was so much fun and it was emailed straight to me afterwards. Soon, it was time to leave but not without a generous goody bag. I feel incredibly lucky to have been invited for a such a lovely evening and also get to try many new products.










I received products from all the ranges we were shown on the day. From the Honey Bronze range, I got the Honey Bronze Tinted Leg Mist*, Honey Bronze Tinted Face Gel* and the Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome*. I also received the Virgin Mojito Body Splash* and Body Sorbet* and they all smell so refreshing. Lastly, I received the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser* and Instant Glow Enhancer*. It was an amazing evening and I was glad I could make it this time. Sometimes I get invites to events but I can never make it because I am really busy at my full time job so I was delighted I could make this one. That's pretty much it. I hope you had a good weekend!!
