Everyone and their mamas have heard or tried French Skincare at some point especially if you live in the UK. I am not sure what exactly the allure is apart from how effective these products are but they are just lovely and most French Skincare have pristine packaging which makes my heart skip several beats...you all know I am a sucker for lovely packaging. The good thing is many French Skincare brands have made their way over the pond to the UK and you can now get some of them in Boots and other shops/pharmacies and some of these brands include Vichy, Dermablend, La Roche Posay, Avene, Nuxe, Eucerin, etc. Some other brands like Bioderma can only be found online in Escentuals, Garden Pharmacy (you can find Bioderma in their Covent Garden store), FeelUnique, etc. However, buying them directly in European countries like France, Belgium, etc always makes a massive difference because you have a wider choice and the price difference is significant. Last month, I got my paws on some of my favourite French Skincare products from Escentuals as they were having 1/3rd off French Skincare brands and it would have been an absolute crime not to buy them. I made a cheeky little video talking about these products so if you fancy watching it, you can find the video here and you can subscribe to my channel here if you fancy (that would absolutely leave a smile on my face).
Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
This is a cult beauty product/skincare and it's essentially a makeup remover but a really extraordinary ones because it takes off all your makeup...YES ALL your makeup and it was a well kept secret among top Makeup Artists all over the world but now we have access to it and I absolutely love it. I have a full review here. I love that Bioderma can take off both eye makeup and any other makeup. My favourite Bioderma Bottle is the one with a reversible pump because it prevents a lot of waste and it just looks so pretty. My other bottle was bought by my boyfriend when he went to Paris and it was much cheaper there.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm
This is another cult favourite and it is very popular in the blogging world and I can understand why. It is such a smooth exfoliating lip treatment and balm all rolled into one. One of its main ingredients is Honey and it makes my lips so soft so much so that chapped lips are just history. I also use it as a lip primer when I am wearing matte lipsticks which are completely on forgiving on chapped/dry lips. It feels a little heavy in texture on application but it completely melts into your lips and does it magic.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
I have a full review of this product here and I can say it is one that has definitely grown on me and I actually really like it now. It's a serum/moisturiser/treatment hybrid but I would say the benefits are more of a preventative one. I find that this works really well when paired with the Effaclar A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector. The Effaclar Duo is very good in decongesting the pores and preventing future breakouts and I absolutely love it.
La Roche Posay Effaclar A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector
Again, I have a full review of this product up here and it is hands down one of my favourite spot treatments because it actually works and works really fast. The good things is that my skin has not grown too used to it to a point that it is ineffective and I like that about it. It is still as effective as the first time I tried it out. It literally works wonders and has transformed my skin in addition to other skincare products I have been using.
La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Sunscreen SPF 50
I was never a sunscreen girl until I fell in love with the Anthelios Sunscreen and now I can't leave the house without this on my face even during the A/W season. I really like this and I purchased a second tube because I love it that much. I have a full review here. It doesn't leave any white or blue cast and no greasy feeling either and it has helped prevent my hyper pigmentation areas from getting darker due to sun exposure. That's it folks and I hope you had an amazing weekend and I would see you in my next post...x
