Brand Focus: Nip + Fab Glycolic Acid Range
If you are regular reader of my blog, you would have read my review on a few products from the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix range which I have slowly fallen in love with. I thought it would be nice to do a little round up post here on the range. I have used up most of the products from the range and as I like to rotate my skin care, I would be moving on to others soon. I have not tried everything from the range because I just felt these three would be most suited to my skin. To be honest, my skin behaves differently in different conditions but most times I would say it is combination-oily and it goes ever so slightly normal during Autumn/Winter. In Summer or in the Tropics, it's a different ball game. That's the main reason I switch my skin care routine every now and again but not too much in a way that freaks my skin out. One thing that seems constant all through is reducing the hyper pigmentation that has been left on my skin by really bad acne and breakouts in the past and that's where the Nip +Fab Glycolic Fix range comes in handy.
P.S. The picture quality is not the best...i took them ages ago and this post has been sat in my drafts section for longer than you can imagine so...bear with me!!...
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub
I am quite new to this but it's growing on me. I bought this because I was trying to find an alternative for SK:N Vitamin Rich Cleanser because somehow I have been unable to get my hands on it from Boots. This feels really nice on the skin and together with my No 7 Cleansing Brush, it does the work well. I wish it lathered a little more but it feels a little flat on the skin and a richer lather would have been great. Other than that, I really like it. It contains 2% Glycolic Acid which is not the largest amount but it is a nice way to start with any skin care with Glycolic Acid.
Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads
I think this has to be my favourite of the whole range and possibly the second product from the range I purchased (and repurchased If I might add). It contains 2.8% in fact almost 3% Glycolic Acid which is brilliant because it is a good amount that can be tolerated by sensitive skin (supposedly!) and high enough to be effective. I really like these pads because they are well saturated and never dried up on me. This is my second tub and I love it because I don't have to bother with cotton wool. I once used a cleansing facial pad and it dried up really easily because I opened and closed it frequently which you should expect from frequent use for crying out loud. I am glad this has not been the case with this and I have enjoyed using it because it does the job really well. The pads are grooved so it acts as both a manual and chemical exfoliator but it is very, very gentle due to its Blue Daisy content and it feels very refreshing. I highly recommend it. I have a full review on this here.
Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum
This may have been the first product I tried because I was just getting into the whole Glycolic Acid shenanigans and I wanted something affordable. Lucky for me, Sainsbury's had this on offer for half price so I bought it and I really enjoyed it so much that I bought a back up. I have gone through two tubes of this and It's one of my favourite serums because it is one that you can see and feel its effectiveness. It leaves my skin really soft and it has helped fade some of my dark pigmentation on my face and writing this post now makes me want purchase another tube but it is back to full price now ;-(. It has not been heavily hyped as much as I expected in the blogging world but it is one to try out. It contains Glycolic Acid (5%) which is the same amount as Alpha H Liquid Gold -a beauty cult classic. I have not tried that so I can't comment on it or compare. I have a full review on this here. If you fancy buying anything from this range, it is worthwhile checking out Sainsbury's beauty section as they are always on offer, Debenhams have sporadic offers on this range and Boots usually have some offers as well...Have you tried anything from the Nip+Fab range? See you in my next post..x
